Rental property accounting software

Updated 2026-09-11 · Not tax advice

“Rental property accounting software” usually means three jobs: keep income and expenses on the right property, know who has not paid, and hand a CPA a Schedule E-shaped file. Most roundups add bank feeds, ACH, and listings. Those are different products.

What RentLedger is

Books for US DIY landlords. You type rent and expenses by property. Who is late reads those books. You download a Schedule E Part I worksheet — included, not a paid add-on. You can export a bank CSV or a QuickBooks 3-column CSV.

What it is not

Not a property-management company tool. No bank login. No e-file. No computed depreciation. No rent collection yet. No tenant screening. If you need Plaid or ACH, Stessa, Baselane, or Landlord Studio exist. This is the ledger and the CPA file.

See sample books. Try it free. No credit card.
